This nifty flash movie, a well-done parody of “Behind the Music” tracing the career of a font, is a lot more interesting than you’re probably imagining.
From the movie, I wandered onto Mastication is Normal, which (at least in the parts I read) consists mostly of reviews of book-cover designs. Again, nifty.

Well, I thought it was fun. But then I’m a geek. (Geek of all trades, with a very small subspecialization in fonts, which doesn’t even show up in the Geek Code.)
Thanks for posting this. My family was in the graphic arts for three generations (broken with me, sad to say). My dad did a degree in Printing Management in the 1950s. I have one of his textbooks on fonts, they all have really fascinating histories. I sent him the link and he found the documentary “delightful.”
