Robert Sheckley has died.
“My Lord,” the computer said, “I can explain all the apparent discrepancies in the story. But do you understand the special terminology of the theory of provisional reality frames?”
“Never mind,” Dramocles said.

Oh, damn.
His last short story, “Reborn Again,” is available online. I really enjoyed reading it. I’m sad there won’t be any more new ones.
He was my favorite science-fiction writer. “Can You Feel Anything When I Do This?” was a story that brightened up the corners of my mind.
