As a side note, the post at feministe that generated the thread is an example of particularly acute awesomitude on behalf of Jill.

Did you know that when women post the results of studies while adding very little of their own commentary they’re being hysterical? And that when men react with their gut to respond “That doesn’t sound right,” that’s an example of a well-reasoned, logical debunking of said study, sans further evidence?

Lots of bloggers tussling over the results of a recent study knew that. Or at least, they acted it out.
