Is there a single woman in that movie?

I mean, I think its great, and I hope it does well at the box office- but I think I only saw one woman speak in the preview, and she wasn’t listed among the famous names.

JenLovesPonies: Beats me. Milks staff was pretty much dominated by men; so I’m assuming no. It will also be notable how many women and people of color are in the film (Feinstine was on the Board, I wonder how much play she’ll get by the director and writer)); I’m not sure how the Castro was back then but today it is a place that isn’t too friendly to people of color or queer women. Good point. Still, Milk was a seminal figure in politics for this nation and might have been on the track to becoming mayor, should be an interesting film to watch.

Milk’s election campaign was run by Anne Kronenberg, an out lesbian and a motorcycle mama. She’s a supporting player in the film.

    Just just saw it!

And to answer your question, the movie was VERY male and VERY white. I kept wishing there was more diversity, but sadly that wouldn’t have been quite as historically accurate.
