The ‘toon is good on the whole, but in some ways the second panel could be seen as “justification” by certain groups, even mainstream conservatives. A more severe quote would be more effective. But a small quibble.

I really love the cartooning on this one. Nice caricaturing, dooood. And, of course, the sentiment is nice. For someone who HATES AMERICA, that is.
Smooches.

I’m not sure if this was intentional, but the panels didn’t have a clear dilleniation between them, which made them somewhat “muddy.” That’s my only critique: that the panels didn’t seem quite seperate. I’ve noticed that people, myself included, tend to read things beneath an image as being attached to the image above it, so I thought that, for example, the bit that goes “Meet President Islam Karimov [...] and “…Running Uzbekistan[...]” were both captions for the first image, rather than for the first and third images.
Other than that, great toon. Keep up the good work.

Interesting- he’s been completely below my radar. On a separate note, your catoon archive hasn’t updated to include the last few strips. (I think it’s the last three that are missing).

When brave German people spoke out against the Nazis, do you think people asked them “Why do you hate Germany?”. Did the Nazi’s hold rallies to smash records of musicians who criticized them?

Here’s a more damning quotation for the second panel:
“I’m prepared to rip off the heads of 200 people, to sacrifice their lives, in order to save peace and calm in the republic. If my child chose such a path, I myself would rip off his head.” - President Karimov reacting to acts of violence in Uzbekistan in March 1999. The government originally blamed the incidents, including a bus hijacking, on “criminals” and later on “Islamic extremists.” (Agence France-Presse, April 2, 1999.)

Ed, I’m not sure if you’re playing along with Kevin’s joke and I’m not getting it, or if you just didn’t get it - but rest assured, Kevin was joking.
Yeah, that would have been a better quote to use. Sigh.
