Thanks for the heads-up -- unless I develop a life in the next few weeks, I'll probably participate.

This is really short notice, but I was thinking that if people won't be blogging much during the 4th of July weekend, it would be good to leave up posts, or links to posts, about your feelings re: the PATRIOT Act. Also information about how your Congressional representation voted at the time, how they feel about it now, etc.

It would be great if we could get public discussion moving in the direction of repealing the most objectionable provisions two years before the official sunset (which Orrin Hatch is trying to remove, so PATRIOT can be eternal...)

Amp, thanks for the plug! Now that I've defended my dissertation, I figured I could take some time and do other things.:) My plan is to spend some of the time blogging about reproductive rights issues so Planned Parenthood won't just be my charity of choice but also a topic of the blog. It certainly won't be the only topic, but I figured it should be one of them. I'll see how that works out. You can check in periodically to see how I'm doing.:)

Hey, I'm planning to take that week (7/21-25) as a vacation week, I might be up for this! Can you supply more info, Barry? Is there a website coordinating this?

Elayne, they don't have a clear FAQ or anything, but if you poke around blogathon.org you should eventually find all the info you need.
