It looks oddly familiar to me. Is it really the first time you post it (I remember you posting sketches before the switch to MT)?

Lieberman has many visible faults today, but he was a Freedom Rider in the early 60s, which I think most of us weren’t.

This sketch (and even more, the creepy twins that make up the merchandise link) bring me back to one thing I noticed a long time ago: Amp’s art, at least the art he decorates Alas with, is bizarre and twisted. (Just to be clear: I like that.)
It was actually a shock for me the first time I saw an Amptoons strip because it was in such a very different style.
Why is that, Amp?

To answer the questions, no, I haven’t put this sketch online before - it’s a brand-new sketch.
And PDP, I think that the kind of rendering I do on the bighead drawings cries out “stop! Look at me!” I generally don’t want the drawings in my comic strips to do that - drawings in comics should be about fluid storyteling, not about “stop and look at this drawing,” y’know?

Funny, this picture perfectly captures my feelings about Strom Thurmond at the moment…

Except when “stop and look at this drawing [image]” is exactly the kind of effect that you want. Which, I understand, is not something that’s likely to pop up in Amptoons.

Nyah!
Well. There goes my need for caffeine. Good Lord. I’ll never read your blog at one in the morning again.
