Want a chance to win a year of free massage and support a good feminist cause at the same time?

Well, if you’re in Portland, Oregon, I know just the way. World Birth Magazine is holding an event coming up on Thursday, April 1st at the Fez Ballroom.

At the event there will be performance art by Wade McCollum (of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Batboy fame) and DJ Anjali and DJ Harmony will be spinning tunes.

In addition, we are selling raffle tickets, with some really great prizes:

3rd prize: Portland global restaurant tour - Six certificates to exotic local restaurants

2nd prize: Two weeks of personal chef cooking from Ready, set, eat!

1st prize: a year’s worth of massage (bouquet of 12 certificates) including: Thai massage, Hawaiian Hot Stone Massage, Deep Tissue, In-home, and more!

Tickets for the benefit are $25 (sliding scale of $15-$25). Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Both event tickets and raffle tickets can be purchased on-line at www.worldbirth.org. Raffle tickets can also be purchased at the following locations:

In Other Words Bookstore, 3734 SE Hawthorne
Touchstone Coffee, 7631 NE Glisan
Blend Coffeehouse, 2327 E. Burnside
Haven, 3553 SE Division
Fresh Pot, 3729 SE Hawthorne

OR, you can let me know, and we can meet up and I can sell them to you in person.

The raffle drawing will be done at the event (April 1). You do not have to be at the event to win (winners not at the event will be notified the following day). All proceeds go toward the launch of World Birth Magazine.
