It's a bit chilly here in MA, but I doubt it will last. It's been a pretty lame winter overall.

Craziness! I live in the Springs. I moved here from Portland. I hate it.

Funny - after spending so much time as a lurker, this damned town is what inspired me to comment.

Congrats, hailey, I think you may be the first commenter to be from the Springs that wasn't referred here specifically by me. Pretty crazy; I guess the ol' hometown had to catch up to me eventually.

But yeah, isn't the Springs an evil little place? What inspired you to move here?

The weather is variable. I took my dogs to the woods where the younger practised hurdling over fallen logs and the older practised sniffing and marking. It was a bit muddy, though. Only yesterday I went skiing, probably the last time this year, and next week the kayaking season begins! There is snow and then there are snowdrops in full flower. So it's all variable, but still definitely hat-and-gloves weather.
How's that for an interesting comment????

The weather in Portland has been beautiful since I got back here on Saturday. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and then of course, the rain.

The weather in Portland was perfect today; warm but not oppressively hot, with gentle cooling breezes and blue sky dabbled with white clouds here and there.

Well, you asked. :-p

Was lovely here today. Matt and I took Sydney for a walk (we would have invited others in the household but nobody was upstairs when meandered into the wild blue). We all were jacketless and tons of people were out at the park.

It really was a nice day and a nice event. I even had a moment of tranquil and artistic inspiration; saw another mother with a newborn of 2 or so weeks that was leaning up against a tree trunk in a quieter area of the park breastfeeding. Being the fanatic that I am about the benefits and rightness of breastfeeding that I am, it just struck me as a really pretty picture to stumble upon. From a distance (to give her privacy if she so desired) Matt and I conversed as Sydney made her little squaking noises.

I can't say that I'm unhappy that Spring is upon us. I feel rejuvinated.

The first day I could sit in the garden and read (Missoula, Montana).

Just recently found this blog, and am enjoying it very much. Hope spring really does come to you soon.

It will leave us again, at least briefly.

Sunday was 78 and sunny- went kayaking through the mangroves and it was lovely. However, soon it will be miserable and the moist heat will be so heavy that I won't be able to breathe while outside.

I moved here to be closer to Focus on the Family.

hehe...That isn't really funny, is it?

Actually, I moved here to be with my partner. I was more capable of moving, so...here I am.

Colorado Springs gave me some kind of culture shock though! I'm thankful for you telling me where you were from. I was beginning to think I was the only person not completely smitten with the conservative and religious right in this town.

Three years and I still haven't figured out what people do here. I suppose I am being a little too hard on the Springs - I have seen some evidence of my kind of people existing here. I don't want to come across as a whiner, but geez, sometimes this town can suck all the inspiration and motivation right out of me.

My brother-in-law goes to the Colorado College there in the Springs. As I understand it, one of the few things the town has going for it.

A fine gorgeous day in Kansas City (MO, not KS) now that the rain has let up. Not getting used to it though. Between the months of June and September it will be oppressively hot here I'm sure.

Depression sucks. I know, cuz I fight it with meds and cartooning. And the weather, regardless of the sun and the rain, can always play a negative reenforcer to one's mood. So my many sympathies. Buck up, lil' camper. :)

That said, the weather outside is so delightful, but the office inside is frightful—to invert an old winter song.
