Actually, I'm surprised he responded and rather quickly! Given the gap in his article, I assumed Dr. Kurtz was on vacation?

"This blogger" must have been unclear on "her" main point: The drop is exactly the same as in the rest of Europe--- where SSM has not been legalized.

It is true I have nothing to say on the fact that same sex couples aren't marrying as rapidly as they were when SSM was legalized. What, might I ask, is the significance of that statistic?

Livestro doesn't say what he thinks it means, and Dr. Kurtz isn't saying what he thinks it means in his response. If either did suggest some meaning for that snippet of data, I might comment. Otherwise, why should I speculate about that data?

I think I'll leave it to Kurtz or Livestro to complain a bit more about homosexuals not marrying fast enough bit of data before I comment.

I particularly like the way this columnist refuses to name "this blogger."

Other than that, I found his response to not be a response at all - just as Amp noted.

But, hooray! This goes to show that if you use a lot of ink & create lots of charts that Kurtz will respond.

>>But, hooray! This goes to show that if you use a lot of ink & create lots of charts that Kurtz will respond.

As you know, my motives have been questioned... Obviously, no matter what Kurtz actually says, I figure getting a comment increases the number of readers who are likely to read the article.

Actually, some my notice I've been putting the link to the blog on the charts. One thing I know about graphic is this: people sometimes download them and send them around. Then people might find the blog. (I may have to start putting the URL to the exact article on the figures.)

Oh... and Amp. I want a T shirt with "the couples" on the front and the back!!!! Or something!
