Oh. My. God. Somebody’s going to slap me for saying this, but:
TYPICAL O.C. SPOILED BRAT. (Laguna Niguel)
The 911 dispacter was hilarious! “We’re not going to go down there and enforce a hamburger!”

She was the one in the wrong anyway. Carl’s Jr. is currently selling a promo burger called the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. It is small and inexpensive and is not the same as their classic Western Bacon Cheeseburger. If she asked for a BBQ cheeseburger, she would indeed get something with lettuce on it.
(sigh) I know way more about fast food than I ought to.

OK, sorry. I just listened to it again and she did say Western the first time. Ignore previous comment.

Joan, you’re not necessarily wrong. We don’t have Carl’s Jr. on the East Coast, but from what a comment from a West Coaster said, the woman was ordering a Carl’s Jr. burger at a Burger King.

I just recently went to Salt Lake City. I think Carl’s Jr. is the equivalent of Hardee’s.

Do you think that her kids are sufficiently embarrassed at this point? The earnest tone of her voice is worth trying to listen to the clip. What a fruitcake.

Kudos to the 911 dispatcher. She must have the patience of a saint.

Where did this person learn the idea that this is an appropriate course of action for such a minor problem?

I worked at Carl’s Jr. a while back. It’s mostly like Burger King, but also has the Green Burrito, which is kind of like a more creative Taco Bell. The company is based in Anaheim.
The Western Bacon Cheeseburger, is bun, BBQ sauce, cheeze, meat, onion rings(2) and then bun. It’s not bad tasting(in moderation, the store manager I didn’t get fired ate them daily and had a heart attack at age 32) and I loved making them, b/c I HATED lettuce, like on the Famous Stars(oops, kind of like Whoppers)
The BBQ cheeseburger was after my time. I don’t each much at Carl’s any more. I know too much if you get my drift. I couldn’t even pick up a french fry for two years after I quit.
I don’t know if being an idiot is specific to living in O.C. and I know being spoiled isn’t. We’ve got plenty in the I.E. (I know from experience, most notably the people who went postal over not having enough pickles on their burger so they’d throw their entire meal at you .) though I do believe we’re considered trailer trash to most folks in proper O.C. In fast food, anyone’s spoiled who doesn’t have to work there, lol.
I loved customers like that, especially when I worked in drive-thru. I don’t think any of them ever called 911 on me. Only for medical stuff, and oh, I did take an order from putting up the salad bar, and went back to the register and one of those mini-school buses got caught under the eave and couldn’t budge, so we had to call for help, but not 911.
But you know, at least if I ever have to call for a DV or someone getting shot or a bunch of people getting shot, at least now I know why it’s hard to even get a dispatcher….
