It came about because of a stupid middle school website I made with my friend called "Shrubwomen's Homepage", which got shortened to "Shrub" when I bought the domain in '97. It's just an unfortunate coincidence that one of the meanings of "shrub" is a derogatory name for Dubya. Although I do hate the way the man and his administration are running the US.
