Monday baby blogging: Jemma In The Light

Posted by Ampersand | August 21st, 2006

Jemma relaxes after a busy day

This is another one of my niece Jemma from my recent New York trip. I didn’t even ask her to pose there - Jemma just walked over to the sofa and flopped right into the good light beams, as I desperately scrambled for my camera. Click on the photo to see a larger version.

Sorry, no time for more photos today - but I’ll probably post more pictures of my niece and nephew in this particular light-saturated spot sometime in the future. Next week, though, watch out for the triumphant return of Sydney!

All the baby blogging pictures show the kids in such a good light (ha ha).

It makes me think that it’s you, specifically your perspective, that’s to be admired.

How’s that for a compliment? “I really like your point of view”. ;o)

I have a similar shot of my grandson over my desk. We were walking in the woods near our place and he climbed on a stump to pull dried bark on another branch while waiting for his little sister and me to catch up. The sun had broken thru to exactly where he was standing. This in forever green left coast of BC.

He has the same thoughtful look on his face as Jemma and no idea that I took the picture, so no hamming it up that time:) He was four when I took the pic, and hanging next to it is the dinosaur he drew for me later that day. Now he is six and still drawing dinosaurs for me. Pretty wonderful stuff.

    I’ll gladly take it! :-D

Georgine, thanks for your comment, as well.
