Everyone's excited by Sen. Barak Obama, but a Senator hasn't been elected President since 1960. Almost all the people elected President since then have been Governors. Should Obama stumble (and I don't count a little inhaling and snorting in high school as a stumble), His Excellency Deval Patrick may well step up. Deval Patrick is a man to watch.
