Asking why begs the question of for whom would it have been better, which I think is more interesting. And obviously, it would have been better for *them*. Not for her, not for her family.

And that’s not just horrible, but wrong: rape is a crime against all of society, not just her, and wishing the victim were dead so you didn’t have to deal with the mess misattributes the problem to her instead of the rapist who created it.

There you have it. Could there be any clearer demonstration that anti-choicers don’t care about life, not even the life of the “baby”? It would have been better if she–and, presumably, the fetus–had died that day? Why fergadssake?
