Thanks, I appreciate the concern. I did get a comment to not call the police b/c they wouldn't come, one I suspect was written by a police officer assigned to my area and I don't know if I have much faith, though there are officers who like my site.

Take care of yourself, Radfem. As I'm sure you're well aware, there's some real loonies out there. Remember; when seconds count, the cops are only minutes away. Not that you can count on the cops, apparently....

As much as I adore the girls, putting together the MBB got to be more of a chore than fun, so I stopped. But I might do "periodic preschooler blogging" instead. That's a good idea.

Since this is an open thread, I have a request: Could you bring back Monday Baby Blogging? If you don't have time to do it on a regular basis maybe you could change it to Periodic Preschooler Blogging or Monthly Maddox & Sydney Blogging or something like that.

I don't know who I pissed off in Germany. The only person on my blog at that time period was someone from a city in Germany or using a German dialup service but the time zone came back the same time as mine. This visitor tried to leave a comment on the same posting that was emailed to me. The person was on my site until at least after the email was sent. But who knows? There were several ISPs who've sent similar comments in the past b/f I shut them down. I'm looking closer at this one because of a tip I received yesterday.

Those who have investigated despite what they say have made it clear that they would rather protect their own. And anyone who's investigated for harassing me gets a promotion or an award out of it not too long afterward so perhaps it's considered a form of career advancement. It might be one of those individuals. It may be someone else.

One harasser who "prayed" for harm to come to me or better yet my family was caught and I was told, disciplined b/c he also wrote racist comments. However, six months later, I sat and watched him receive a civic award. I only was told his identity after walking into a meeting and watching another one I was told was responsible receiving the same civic award. I'm thinking it was payment for putting up with an investigation that never would have been done if an outside agency hadn't mandated it.

The email was done through the blogging service so it just traces back to them. But if the post they emailed from is the one that set this person off, then there's a couple possibilities because I wrote something in there that would piss some folks off that very few people would pick up.

As for the email from the city's computer? From what I've heard about his identity, he's pretty untouchable though I'm not the first woman he's harassed either if it is indeed this individual.

Radfem, there might be some sort of legal recourse for this. Folks who can trace that sort of thing and do what's needful, or at least some of it. No one should have to put up with that garbage. Maybe your ISP or someone can help.

I received an email from an "Old Friend" calling me saying I was still the same "bitter cunt" I was back in the day. It was emailed through my blog's email service since comments were closed. It's an old harasser but unless it's the one who harassed me via email through City Hall, it's kind of odd he or she just recently decided to harass me through email.

Can't people just harass or insult you without using slurs for a change?

*gasp*
We have had that happen twice in 10 years, here in the Pacific Northwest. It was a new one on me, and I was not quick enough with my camera to capture stalks of grass sheathed in transparent ice. I could not think of anything better to call it than a crystal-freeze.
Just today there was an episode of very unexpected heavy sn0w, but it had vanished by the time I got off work.
Thanks for the pix. Unbeleafable.
