The Sad-Faced Man is a character who has shown up in a lot of my doodles over the years, and appeared a few times in Pre-Structuralist Funnies.

I’ve also frequently doodled anthropomorphic spatulas and coffee cups. Don’t know why.

Some kind of deeply rooted sexual pathology, probably. I wouldn’t worry about it. You’ll be fine, at least until the building, building, building pressure finally causes something to snap inside and you’re found naked and screaming hysterically on top of a pile of thousands of spatulas and mugs in a downtown kitchen supply store.

Don’t call me for bail. I can’t afford to be associated with that kind of thing.
