You know, I thought this would be the worst movie ever, but nothing prepared me for the horror that is the An American Carol trailer:
It’s a movie that treats Bill O’Reilly as a sympathetic character. Any more commentary would be superfluous.

Although the movie is most likely horribly racist and unwatchable, I have to admit that the line about it being hard to find suicide bombers because “all the really good ones are gone” made me chuckle.
I suspect that if this sort of movie were made on the left, I might be able to enjoy it, despite it’s evident lameassitude. Unless it’s really well done, political humor always seems funny only to people on the same side.
Not always. South Park is right-wing (in a libertarian way) and still funny to lefties, for example. But usually, political humor is only funny if you agree with it.

In order to be funny in my mind, something like this has to be one or the other:
1. Left-leaning
2. Actually clever and well-done.
This film is neither, so I’d hate it.
I love “South Park.” I can’t think of any other right-wing-ish humor that is actually clever and well-done.

If you’re looking for good right-wing humor, look up Mike Lester, one of the very few conservative editorial cartoonists based around. His cartoons tend to be very snide, snarky, and sarcastic…in good way.
There are other conservative cartoonists I enjoy (Chuck Asay and Scott Stantis comes to mind), but Lester’s comes to mind as the funniest.
Mike is in the process of switching syndicates, however, so the only place to see his new cartoons, until the new contract goes into effect, are the AAEC website.

Watching the trailer again (because I’m a masochist, I guess), I’m offended the most by the depiction of Michael Moore as a slave owner. Did they really have to go there?
Not to mention that one of the ghosts who visits Michael Moore and tries to teach him the error of his ways is George Washington, who was actually a slave owner.

Did anyone else notice that when the trailer tells us that the movie’s from the “master of satire movies”, the visual shows us that the quote’s from David Zucker himself?!
That is either the best joke of the trailer or the most embarassing thing I’ve ever seen.
