    I honestly had no idea there even was a Nobel prize for literature. On the other hand, I’d never heard of Eartha Kitt before, either.

    Whew — glad to see New Media is confirming my judgment when putting together a piece of Dead Tree Media. I’d been seeing a lot of Pinter tributes on blogs I read, and it was beginning to make me question my decision to play up Kitt and shove Pinter in an out-of-the-way place in the newspaper yesterday.
